Anyone know anything about this i5/i7 operation flashpoint offer? Is it an intel promotion that will run with all its core i5/i7 to all stores or is it an overclockers exclusive?

that is pretty gutting. it's a sweet deal if its OCuk only £140 for a i5 and a £25 game too

Same haha. I bought my i7 on the Wed, and the offer went up on the Thurs when my kit arrived =(

Build is good so far, no problems at all. I just want a new cooler so i can clock it a little!

Then Just need to wait for Win 7 to be delivered (XP at the mo) and an 5850 to be released to consider, then im going to be happy indeed! O

Its a little booklet that has the Steam code on the back.

I bought one of the MM about a week ago. So I would say its not just an OcUK offer. (but they may be the only ones advertising it)

I'd rather they lower the price of the i5 to normal market price £140~ than adding a "free" game.

at £139.99 the OEM version is the cheapest anywhere on the web. Lets be honest, who will run it on the stock cooler so why would you want retail?

The game is free. And what's the complain with the price. If Intel are giving away a game, it is free. The CPU will be the same price with or without the game.

And anyway, the good customer support is worth paying a wee bit extra =)

Plenty of people, decent coolers are still hard to come by and bracket support hasn't been added yet for most.

You can the the retail for under £147 at a rival with free post. Much better to have that price than a "Free game" (free game costs you £13+ then add post)
