I5 integrated graphics game suggestions for an invalid

If it doesn't run company of heroes, get Blitzkreig.

Excellent ww2 rts. No base building, fairly realistic. Very addictive. Old enough so system requirements shouldn't be an issue.

A great time waster as you can play it very slowly (nuking everything with artillery barrages).

Total wargames are intensive on CPU, I'd be cautious with settings on that.

All good choices in the above. company of heroes performs well with no shadows I found.

Not only is Torchlight 1 great, it has a Netbook mode and runs on anything!

His CPU is quite powerful, more suited to running Total War than mine, and I rarely get frame drops unless its an entire army in battle or so.

Cheers all - some excellent games there.

Am currently downloading Rome: Total War.... the reviews are top for this.

A lot of the older games mentioned (C&C etc) pop up as freeware so am also downloading a few of those. Plenty to get me passing the hours without moving too many muscles.

Some of your posts in this thread really seem to contradict each other. His inbuilt graphics wouldn't run a Source engine game such as Left 4 Dead but would run Oblivion fine?

Those mobs of zombies in Left 4 Dead his processor wouldn't be able to handle, but it can handle Total War fine?

Honestly mate. Left 4 Dead (1+2) really aren't that intensive, and if the gpu can't handle them at higher resolutions, the OP can always drop the resolution down.

Of course if the OP just doesn't choose those games because he doesn't like them then that's a different story, but if it will run Portal or CSS, then it'll run Left 4 Dead. ;)

The OP has L4D2 on the main rig and likes it. This is for a more laid back in bed/on settee gaming experience over the next month or so - though I appreciate what you are saying about the contradictions.

The I5 is fairly solid CPU wise - am happy to test it there, it's the GPU side I am more worried about.

Anyways - the connection here is soooooo slow, but total war is incoming..... I've tried C&C red alert while waiting for the above, but can't get it working with Win7.

Cheers guys... had forgotten about minecraft... I've not yet dipped into that - a good call.

The timesapping is exactly what I am after! Will check out the total war games also.

I

if you get minecraft then look into the optifine mod. occasionally it gets you graphical glitches but most people get a 50-100% FPS increase. i think the technic pack has optifine in it amongst the half a billion other mods (and its super simple to install too)

It was more the contradictions I was getting at to be honest. It was really annoying me.

Try here mate, this should help: http://redalert1.com/
