Some of you might re-call me asking where i should go a few weeks ago AMD or Intel... I went down the intel road and got the following:

Intel i5 3750k
Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH Intel Z77 Motherboard
16Gb Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3
Corsair A70 CPU Cooler
Asus HD 7950 3GB DDR5
OCZ 850 Watt PSU
1x Crucial M4 SSD 120GB
1x Cruicial M4 SSD 240GB
LG Blue Ray Drive
Fractal R3 Case
Bitfinex white braided cables

Its been running for a week now, but i cant seem to get my head around why it keeps randomly restarting itself without reason..
Its not running hot, unless im playing MoH or BF3 it dosnt pass 35c... its a clean install, very little has been installed since it was done.
It just blanks the screen out, pretty much instantly die's then powers up again...

Any ideas on where i can start trouble shooting this?

Have you disabled this setting so that you can see any BSODs?

Sure, here's one route to it:

Right click "Computer" -> Select Properties > Click "Advanced system settings" on left -> Click "Settings" button in "Startup and Recovery" box.

That setting is a bit of a pain because it can make a BSOD look like a low-level reboot (e.g. PSU problem).

Agreed, that setting should be switched off by default, I have been saying that for years. It is probably a driver related BSOD, obviously that is just a guess but it has been more often than not for me in the past

Not sure on what to say now, it didnt do any restarts for about 24hrs as i left it on over night, then it started again last night....

Anything else i could try?? ie: Going back to AMD >_>

hit start bar and in search box type windows memory diagnstoics

at top your should see a clickable application, run it, wait for it to restart and test memory

also dont blame the I5 plenty of people have the I5 and no problems.

if you go to c:\windows\minidump

are there .dmp files in here related to the date and time of crash?

if so post one up here, ill examine for you tomorrow.

Im going to need a little more information on what im needing to do..

When you say memory voltage are we referring to what it says on the packaging?
Mem test, a downloadable program?

If you pop into the BIOS you will check the DRAM voltage, I use the kingston and run them at 1.56v.

I think i found what it was... when i built it, i was advised to turn on the XMS on the RAM... taking it from the 1300mhz range to 1600mhz range... ill prob bet i need to manually increase the power to the sticks to compensate for it?

You may well need to, when in the BIOS it will show the voltage.
