i7 2600K Failing Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool

As title i ran this out of the blue and have tried rebooting etc etc and it still is failing, chip is stock.

just got the same thing on my 2500K, im guessing it doesnt support sandybridge

But it registers the CPU right....

The Mobos underclock during idle/low load, this may be the issue here perhaps?

The test does not support SB - it looks for FSB (front side bus) and SB does not have such a beast.

 

[Purgatory]

--- Base Clock test Fail --- is normal on the intel test with SB chips, it needs updating to support SB.. Ignore the FSB and Base Clock results. Also it can fail on the Integrated Memory Controller Speed Test (IMC) Ignore that one too.

Intel really need to get off their rears and update that program to work correctly with SB chips, it's resulting in a lot of working chips being sent back because of intels lazyness.
