i7 3820 Max Vcore?

Try setting your CPU Voltage to 1.4v every thing on auto >BCLK:100 >Multi:40 to start off and see what happens.

Reset the CMOS before you try it see manual on how to do this if your not sure..

OK. This was very weird...... I tried lots of things....

1) Keeping all auto and changing only multi and volts to 1.4
2) Then changing only the strap (x 1.25 thing) but keeping the memory and CPU low.
3) Then doing lots of manual adjustments.

None worked as it would always not boot or crash.

In the end I thought sod it...

I set the strap to x 1.25
Set to multi to give me 4.75 Ghz
Changed the voltage to 1.4v
Fixed the DRAM at its stock settings.

And it booted and ran prime 95 for an hour..... however... it showed the CPU as only 4.5 GHz....

So I changed the multi to show 4.5 in bios and not as 4.75.... Booted and ran prime and all was good... but the CPU was only showing as 3.6 GHz....

So I changed the multi again to show 4.375 in bios.... Booted and the CPU was now showing 4.375 too. Ran prime overnight and all was good. So I am keeping it here as its only slightly less than what I had before.
