i7-7700k and the NH-D15S

as per the title would the NH-D15S be a good cooler for the i7-7700k given its reputation for toasty'ness. i had to rule out the nh-d15 as noctua told me it would block the top mini pci on my board choice (z270 taichi, it only has one mini pci, i need it for my wifi card).

i doubt im going to overclock the 7700k, but i may in the future, just how suitable is the 7700k for air cooling?

It should be sufficient. Almost anything is better than Intel Stock cooler.

thankyou, im also considering the dark rock pro 3, just waiting on a reply from them re top pciex1 obstruction, or lack of.

ps i have a 4770k just now, it overclocks to 4.8 i think, on a little corsair 140mm aio, its a great chip.
