So this is my first ever cpu overclock, I have been following a guide but have a concern I'd like to address before I go any further.

I have been raising the clock speed bit by bit using HWmonitor & cinebench to test, I haven't had any crashes yet, but I'm currently at 4.8ghz with 3.20v yet hwmonitor shows the voltage fluctuating higher than the value I have set (see link below), is this normal or what? I'm scared that this will damage the chip if I continue.
HALP PLS!

If it was 3.2V your PC would be on fire or something would have gone bang!

At least you realised your mistake. What guide have you been following ?

Woah, only just noticed that typo! Luckily it was in here & not on the bios haha!
I have actually been following this guide on youtube: https://youtu.be/Z4a89kUVDpc
Followed by notes I took from other sites, as well as friends.
As an update I got to 5.10GHz @ 1.32v with max temps at 89°c at 100% load before it crashed, so I'm currently sticking with 5.00GHz @ 1.325v

Hehe, them VID voltages caught me out too, I was messing with the bloody thing all night trying to figure out how to get the voltage to go under 1.42v before I realised I wasn't reading it properly, I blame my 4k screen for making everything so tiny :)
