hi can anyone help me to set cpu at normal 3.7ghz, as every program i run says its running at 4.3ghz although bios shows it at 3.7ghz i want it at normal speed so i can increase the memory speed, but i cant figure out this new motherboard z370 plus gaming, maybe its auto i don't know, but i assume the cpu is linked to the ram speed so if i increase the ram the cpu tries to increase to but cant... its set to normal mode in bios to....thanks

4.2 is the CPU boost, you can increase the memory speed whilst it is doing this.
If you really want 3.7ghz then you can set the multiplier to 37 in the bios though I am unsure why you would want to do this with such a CPU.

CPU speed is not linked to memory speed as such, you can set them individually. Just turning XMP on should be enough.

hi yes the thing is when i set xmp the pc reboots then i assume is trying to find the right frequency for itself as it does not boot and seems to blip every minute or so, so i assumed it was not working, i manually set ram to 3.5ghz and no boot, i guess its just trying to understand the bios which is a bit different from last mobo, thing is though the boost appears to be always on is that correct...

Yes the Turbo boost will always be enabled unless you specifically disable it within the bios (Should be called Intel Turbo Boost or something like that).
