Hi Folks,

I put my new i7 rig together yesterday and it's all working fine. It's now time to clock my D0 920 but I just wanted to know if anyone has a guide as how best to do this (I presume it is very similar to when I clocked my Q9550).

I am going to see how far I can but it using the stock volts etc and then then tweat the voltages to get it stable until it goes as high as I can reasonably get it.

My spec is

i7 920
Asus P6T Deluxe v2
6gb corsair 1600mhz ram
Prolimatech cpu cooler

what are main voltages that need to be changed to help keep the cpu stable apart from the vcore? I have my ram set to 1.64 but presume I need to change the cpu ppl etc.

Can you please post your settings and your clocks so I can get an understanding of the process I need to go through. I understand different boards and cpus clock differently but any info will help me push my cpu.

Thanks

Matt

v core set to 1.3
Qpi set to 1.3
everything else set to 2 above minimum (except RAM)
multi set to 21 blck set to 200..
4.2Ghz

try that and see how it goes keep an eye on temps!

mmm on my board just set it to 21!! and i expect as its a ASUS board he is using he will be able to do the same

Your VCore/QPI/Dram voltages are the most important. Just go up on your bclk in increments (you can get away with larger increments at first) after setting your vcore a little higher (like 1.3). Then when you get unstable up your QPI.

1.35V is really the max you should be looking at for the QPI.

Hey,

Currently running prime at 21 x 185 at 1.208v. I think my other settings are qpi 1.3 and ram 1.64.

I'll give it an hour and then up it again at this volts.

Great on water, but likely to be a big bag of fail on air. For a start, not all D0s will do 4.2 on air, and for a second, those that do will require fairly careful tweaking. It's also a very bad idea to just copy down someone else's setting and plug them in. Most likely they simply won't work and you'll have no idea why. Even if they do work, you'll still have no idea why, so be unable to move from the spot.

ay i tried for 4.2... my temps then got up to 91 :o and at 4 they max out 81 after like 3 hours of IBT cant jusitfy the .2 increase for almost cooking the cpu xP water soon maybe xP ?
