Hi,
I have my 920 currently clocked at 3.8ghz. My ram is Corsair dominator 1600mhz running underclocked. Cooling is true with one noctua 1200 fan. Motherboard is p6t deluxe.
Bclk : 181mhz
cpu : 1.20000v
dram : 1.66v
qpi : 1.35v
I ran OCCT for 2hr test, then I ran prime95 for 9hrs whilst in work with no problems. Temps idle 41/37/40/37. Load 76/72/74/71.
However when i up the Bclk to 190/191, and cpu voltage to 1.3v OCCT crashes around the 40-45 min mark. Load temps 85/82/83/79. So i am guessing that i need more volts, but i am not happy to do this as i dont really want higher temps.
I was wondering if it is normal to add so much more voltage for a 200mhz increase? Also would adding another fan to the True enable me to bring load temps down a few degrees so i can feel happy adding more volts?
Thanks,
Phil.
