Im curious after reading the thread on OCUk picking the best chips for there bundles, if i buy them seperate am i likely to get a high VID chip?

I want a bundle, but dont want to pay extra for the silly air cooler (will be running water) think they're flexible enough to remove the cooler and maybe notch up the ram or board a level? :p

As above, and if you buy a retail version of the CPU (~£2 more) the package will be sealed and untested, apart from by Intel - so your odds would be the same as anywhere else.

Or you could drop them a 'webnote/pre-sales forum' and ask if they would consider a hybrid pre-clocked bundle - but they 'may' only guarantee the clock under their hardware conditions - as they wont be able to validate your water/skills if the clock were to fail under your conditions.
