i7 Final Build

Am in Process of having a similar system built with the intel i7 with Asus P6T Deluxe Intel X58 Chipset SLI/CrossFireX Mainboard SAS Triple-Channel DDR3/1600

And also debating whether to upgrade from 3gb to 6gb and go for 64bit we vista but still unsure of drivers even though a lot these days dont ask about being certified and i read with vista 64 it will just refuse them were we 32bit vista gives you the option

We my system am thinking of having built am prob gonna be crossfireing 2 4850s reason being already having one not that old and would be a waste not to use it

Also got the option of having it profesionaly clocked which am thinking of.

What am interested in is pros of vista 64

Guys i need your advice as ive recently just thought about ditching i7 for a cheaper Core2 platform.

E8400 (possibly E8500 as i wont be overclocking?)
P5Q PRO
2GB Ram as im using 32-bit XP

I was thinking why am i buying into an enthusiast platform when i dont multi-task enough. I only game here and there but dont upgrade often so need something to serve me well and i7 seems like a good option for when games become multi-threaded? Then again i dont want to spend so much money for tech i wont use to its full potential, it just seems silly not to go i7 as its new architecture and would last me a lot longer than a dual core in the long run?

I a bit worried about buying into a E8500, DDR2 and P5Q Pro and in 6 months time mainstream i7 platforms start popping up (LGA1156).

Am just lucking at upgradeing and then leaving it few years how much did you pay for your i7 upgrade, the titan on special offer on oc looks good now not the one i gone for though but if you gonna go for a core 2 duo i reck you should put 3gb ram in which is just short of its limit
