i7 or wait

It's just lazy and a bit rude to be honest. Doing a bit of legwork yourself rather than relying on people do do all the work for you is basic forum netiquette. Of course you have time to research, just as you have time to post and read here. :)

Yeah well i did get info on the i7 before i asked on here but the info i was given was clearly wrong as i was told on here something different i do my research most of the time before asking on here but i ask anyway to make sure what i find out is true

How powerful is it? I know cable management can be a bitch sometimes, but a good PSU is worth it in my eyes.

its 520W and yeah it is i dont really want to undo what i have done as i have got the cables nice and neat

So let's get this right - you were prepared (at one point) to ditch your excellent clocking Core 2 for an i7, which means replacing the motherboard etc - but now that you've seen that your best upgrade point is the GPU, you can't be bothered to replace the PSU? lol

i7 is for:

1. Extreme multi-GPU setups (best platform for it).
2. People who want the choice of SLI and Xfire in one board.
3. People who love buying bleeding edge tech.
4. People who haven't upgraded in a while.

Numbers 2 and 4 are why I chose the i7 X58 route. Is it worth it for you, with your wicked fast CPU? Perhaps not, you are set for quite a while.
