i7,SB or wait?

I am looking to build my gaming rig and would I be better with an OC'ed i7 920, sandybridge or should I wait for the new 8 core cpu's ?
I had a i7 920 OC'ed to 3.8GHz on water 8 months ago but sold my gaming rig and am looking to build a new gaming rig.
I had the EVGA classified MB and would love to get another.

8 core would cost you a lot, probably the price will stay there for a while

AFAIK,there will be an 8 core version of AMD Bulldozer when it is released in April or thereabouts.

SB would be more than enough for gaming 2500k would be perfect also 2600k a good choice if you would use the HT, 8 core for gaming seriously whats the point?
