i7 temp sensing software

I'm running a 965 i7, now i have used 3 programs to sense temps and have found a big variation at idle,

Core temp says - 38
Asus ai suite says - 29
Everest says - 29

Any ideas why core temp would read so much higher ?

for me real temp and everest read a 10degree difference, everest bieng the lowest.. not sure which to believe now.

use core temp. the others read the sensor which is outside the chip so to speak. Core temp reads the on die sensors.

Ah ha I see so core temp is definitely the most accurate then
