Was at work think might try go for 4.2Ghz when the heat wave cools off. Now at 200x20 With load temps of 71c. Now my plan is to turn the tubo on to give 4.2 when i did this i got BSOD after day 30sec of prime which pretty norm, Now my question is should i nudge the vocre up +1 and retry or is their no point and should try going for 2 nudges of vcore?

Ok well as outside temps are lower then they have been i went for the 4.2Ghz..so Put the ram back 8-8-8-24-2 turbo turned on, boots into windows fine can run a 1M PI idle seems ok 45-48c went to prime and BSoD with

A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval

I did nudge the vcore up from 1.3 which stable for 4ghz to 1.32 and got about 30secs prime temps looked at 69c when i got BSoD...ant ideas from the more eperinced peeps please?

drop down to stock

put turbo on

overclock as before, i.e. slowly and with much testing

take the time to do things right

dont just go up in one jump, whack turbo on and hope for the best. you'll have no hope of working out which setting needs slightly more or slightly less voltage to hold it

Been having a play and cant quite get her stable, I can boot into windows surf fine i can do a 1M super pi if that means anything? 30 secs into prime i get BSOD temps are stable and not gone over 70c. Can any one as an example my 4.0ghz stable is Vcore 1.30625 and no less so not the best D0 ever. have gone to 1.31 just a bit welll worried to try something like 1.34.
Any one on Air happy to share there settings to help for 4.2Ghz :p

my current

BLCK 200x20, Turbo ON,HT on
QPI x36
Uncore x17
QPI/VTT 1.33
Mem underclock for now untill sorted

Cheers for your help mate but the guides no good very any more, the volts are for the C0 steps and most of there others are sky high. Kinda looking for a few suggestions rather then a guide as im think i got the sub 4G sorted cheers any way dude:p

just a guide for you to play with, but he has pritty much the same set up as you and his temps are a lot lower than yours i think at 4.2ghz he got his max laod temp at around 58c i think or was it 68c

hmm nunged the vcore to 1.33750 i was stable at 74c for 4 min then one of the wokers failed, thought it could have been the qpi volatge so uped by one and then got BSOD soon as primed with "IRQL not less or equal" dont think my cooling will allow 1.4vcore and i dont really want to go over the max recomend for 200Mhz

just followed that guide a little

bclk 200cpu vcore to 1.31
qpi/vtt to 1.35
turbo on
ram 6x to give 1200 ( not tried to up to 1600 yet )

Qpi link 36x
uncore to 13x

only tested with intel burn test 5 passes all ok so far
will run prime l8r when i get time
idle temps
45.40.46.39

just using asaka nero with modded push pull so not even a top range heatsink and fan rlly

load temps while testing got to 81.78.82.79
