What are your idle temps fmsam? it looks like your CPU could be throttling? 400Mhz i7?

Certainly something not right there, your chip should be running on a multiplier of 20 or 21 with Turbo, not 3.

ok well this is my very first look at o/c ing
I simply used the cpu level up feature in bios
and set memory to 1600, sry 4 the noob request but what is cpu throttling ??

oh yea and btw idle temps are about 5 degrees lower than those posted in the pic

It's a safety measure for when your CPU overheats, if it gets too hot it will throttle back the speed (run slower) in order to cool down.

Try setting your CPU back to stock speeds and see what happens then, it might be worth just checking your heatsink is fitted correctly also.
