And one thing for sure, those prices will have been agreed before the recent price drops so if you don't order one on pre-order, once those stocks have run out expect to pay more than £300 for the cheapest cpu and again more like £300 for a mobo.
 
I too am underwhelmed by i7 and am now even happier with the 775 setup i have got as i was worrying when i bought it all that i might be jumping the gun.
 
Why should the price increase? Wouldn't ocuk place an order & agree a fixed price for x amount at an agreed price months ago? OCUK the new BP 'tongue in cheek guys!!' :)

I doubt it, most likey they won't know thier true cost until they day the stock ships from the disties warehouse. If I were them and taking pre orders I would sell them at a wost case price incase the £ drops further. It may be better to wait until they are instock to get a true idea of the price.
