OK why has this just started when I have been using my PC for over a week?

Come in tonight cold boot and get greeted with a BSOD IASTOR.SYS:mad:

Im coming to the conclusion that RAID 0 is crap.

Not worth the hassle.

Will be the third time I have dabbled with a RAID 0 array (did it a few yrs back)

Not sure why I built another ARRAY

There seem to be quite a few comments on the web with very similar symptoms - system is fine for a while then starts BSODing. A lot of the replies point to the version of iastor.sys and in particular v4.x.x.x being the culprit. There are a couple of 5.x.x.x versions available from Intel so it's probably worth making sure you have one of those.

If it helps, just rebuilt my own Raid 0 with Intels latest divers for my XBX2 after XP install decided to **** out thanks to Windows Desktop Search (Microsoft grrr).

I've found Raid 0 totally problem free for me since I used Intel's XBX2. Had problems with nforce chipsets and Asus, but this Intel is quite easily the best board I've ever owned.
