Will iBooks ever be released for Mac? what do you reckon?

Its so much nicer to use than the kindle software I almost can't go back... but the iPad is gone and its all about my MBA now so my only iBooks interface is on my iPhone 4... Would be great to access my iBook library from OS X.

What you think? any chance or would it take away an iPad selling point do you reckon?

In the mean time you can download the kindle app from the app store for mac.

Works a treat on my macbook :)

Kindle can not handle epub. It accepts mobi and AWZ which is their proprietary format. And probably a few more, but the main one is no epub.

Im using Kindle now, the massive upside is the (considerably) larger range of titles but its nowhere near as nice an interface as iBooks, plus theres no integrated dictionary which I really liked...

Kindle have the easier job tbh, they have the range of titles so a few weeks of development and they'd have a massive clear winner across all platforms but hey-ho :(

Kindle For Mac / iPhone / Kindle is great, I have great difficulty holding bookings for an extended length of time due to Arthritis but since the majority of books I like are available it's brilliant you can have a choice which platform you decide to read it on.

iBooks definitely has to do this, which I'm sure they will. Also, perhaps get a little real with prices, not looked around iBooks for a while but prices seemed out of this world.
