Just fitted a Kenwood KDC-W4737U to my Focus.
Items Purchased;
Kenwood KDC-W4737U (BNIB) : £101.98
Halfords Aerial Adaptor : £3.99
Autoleads Focus Fasica (Black) : £4.24
Autoleads Kenwood Patch Lead + Adaptor Box : £27.49
Total price; £137.70
Fitted all myself so no fitting fee's, hopefully will get around £60+ for my Ford 6000CD Unit which this head unit replaced.
Install went well a tad fiddly, just spaghetti city with all the wiring loom, picked up the Autoleads adaptor box as well to retain my steering controls. Also wired through the Ipod cable through to the glove box. Only downside of the install was that I realised I needed an ISO to a standard connection half way through, so I fitted up the unit and had a run down to Halfords £3.99 later and a quick re fit the unit was operational and working all fine
. Sound quality has improved without a doubt and the unit looks really professional and solid for the price I paid. I know a few others were looking at this head unit so I thought I'd give a little insight. I'm still learning all the controls so will offer a more updated review once I've had chance to have a play about with it .
