I disagree, it won't match at all. All of the other 'inserts' into that silver facia are black, and the radio/plastic matches it well. Having it silver would mean it would probably look a different silver, would definitely have a different finish and it just wouldn't look right.

Agreed 100%. I hate when people start painting their dash, because they never seem to give it any thought. The ashtrays black, the heater controls are black, the cigeratte lighter cover and the hazard are all black. No reason for the radio surround to be silver.
