My GF's newly fitted car stereo is not saving channels when switched off. I am guessing its a wiring problem anyone got a solution? She drives a peugeot 206.

There are most probably 2 wires the wrong way round you have one wire which is live all the time which will save the settings and one which is only live when the ignition is on if you get these the wrong way round the stero gets no power once you turn the engine off so it loses the settings.

Probably different to my 306, but ill tell you what i had to do anyways.

You will have a constant feed coming from the battery, i believe one is like a cream colour, cant remember the colour of the other, and they dont connect to the wiring block. You need to switch them around so they go to opposite colours, so itll got cream->red and red->cream.

Yep Most comon ISO connector colours for these wires are Red and Yellow... there should be bullet connectors on these wires... Just swap em round!..

If they're Red-Red, Yellow-Yellow (most common Default setting), just pull the bullet connectors apart and re-connect em Red-Yellow, Yellow-Red (they'll only go one way round... Male-Female).. or vice-versa!.

couldn't be simpler! :)
