ICE question - Preouts - Do I need 3?

I want to get an Alpine IDAX300 Media Reciever. Wifey bought me an Ipod Nano so I would like one of these Alpine jobs to run it in the car.

Question is, it only has one pre out. Now I understand having 3 (front, rear, sub) but what would you do with just 1?

Speakers will be 6.5" Comps on the front and 6.5" 2/3 ways on the back and I was hoping to get a little sub. Nothing fancy though.

I thought the media receiver doesn't have an internal amp at all, thus you have to run amps?

EDIT - to answer your question, no you don't need 3, you can have one going out, and then daisy chain the amps.
 
Well I got £50 Halfrauds vouchers and according to their website it says 4X45W. I hadn't planned to get a HU quite as expensive but theres not much else they have that I will use the vouchers for.

The OE speakers are Infinity and there is an OE Infinity amp under seat but I'm not sure it will work with an aftermarket HU. Also don't know speaker condition so they could all be blown.

Also be entertaining watching the Halford bod trying to fit it in the Jeep :)
 
If I were you I'd seek advise at some car audio shops before purchasing anything from Halfords. Obviously buy whatever you need to buy with the 50 quid voucher, but find out just exactly what it is you need to get it to work in the Jeep..!
