Looking to put a bit of ICE in my RS turbo.
obviously this is a tuned car with performance in mind so dont want any heavy ICE. So I was thinking of something like below.. Reccomendations would be cool.

Head unit - £150-200
2 channel amp - circa £50-£100
Set of decent front components that will handle a bit of bass, think I could fit 16.5's in my kick panels. £50-£100
No sub. (weight)

Or I could go really simple and light and ditch the Amp maybe spend a little more on the HU, but I do like my sound quality. (not that I can hear it much with the noise inside the RS. (have to get a quieter exhaust)!

I have heard good things about rainbow, I take it those speakes are the mutts nuts. I was going to spend £80 on some alpine components or something, but whats that QX amp, I have never head of them??

I had my eye on the HU anyway, I like alpine!
Am I not going to get anywhere near enough base from components then?
In my focus I had a sub, amped up infinty 6*9's and the 4 standard speakers, that wasn't too bad, I want to have something different.

With it being a loud RSTurbo, dont know how much money I can justify spending, the loud exhaust and wind noise etc... might make spending money on rainbows a bit redundent.

alpine make great headunits but there amps and speakers aren't that good the rainbows will be a lot better. the amp is made by maystar and are very good amps for the money :)

at this price there are no comps that can provide decent bass most can only drop to 60HZ and that just ain't low enough to geta decent bass responce. having a proper sub even a 8" will give you them low frequencies and the bass will be a lot deeper and fuller :)

So we think that QX amp is good? I might trust you on that then as I have never heard of them. I will look at low poer light wieght 8" sub and amps then. Is there such thig as a decent 3 channel amp, or a 4 channel where I could bridge 2 into 1 making 3.

Cool, looks like this audio bill is getting bigger by the minute! lol
I'm terrible at spending way more money that I origonally wanted to. I will have a good sleep on it, there is no rush. Keep the reccomendations coming guys.

what do you think of the setup, you get enough bass from that, If I could avoid getting a sub by getting these it might be worth it.

(still seams a bit of a waste in an RS Turbo though!)

I couldn't vouch TBH - I can make it quite bassy with the HU and it might do ya but I am not a bass conesseur (sp?) so I'd pop down to a car audio place...
