In Europe the wipers go from rest to left leaving a large untouched part of the screen infront of the passenger.

In the UK we are opposite, but BMW didn't change the wipers around so now the large area of the screen which hasn't been cleared is now in front of the driver, not the passenger.

I think he knows thia but doesnt consider it a big deal.

It wouldnt stop me buying a BMW (and hasnt in the past on a few occasions), but its still a pet hate that they didnt bother and something i really notice. Its not a new pet hate, its just that it has been brought to the surface with the frosted interior pic showing it up

I can't say I've ever noticed it when driving Dad's E60!

The fact that the offside rear sits lower than the nearside rear, designed to be balanced out by a fat german in the LHD seat!

I still hate the way that BMW dont bother to make the windscreen wiper wipe the correct way for our market

Must only be on certain models as my E92 has the wipers the correct way round for a RHD car.

I think they change em on 3s but not 5s, given this thread and my experience of e46 and e39s. Odd.

The wipers thing doesn't bother me either. The wipers don't sweep in a perfect arc, but rather "push" up into the corner more so they don't miss as much as you'd expect. I can't say it's bothered me once in my nearly 3 years (wow, doesn't seem that long) of M5 ownership.
