A currywurst is a hot pork sausage cut into slices, covered in curry sauce and curry powder, chewed up and swallowed before being left on the pavement, floating in a pool of second hand lager.

Sounds absolutely yummy :D

I lived in germany for 5yrs, never did really like the Currywurst much - by far Bratwursts were much better, gyros was even better (Ok not srictly german but hey). You couldnt beat the Schnell Imbus (shnelly) for a bratty or burger.

Oh how i miss germany.........

Hmm is it kinda weird that I was transfixed on the reporter's hairstyle all the time during that video report?

.... Anyway that looks bloody nice (the sausage not the hairstyle).

The use of the word curry is in a very loose sense! It's more like a tomato soup - the germans don't like spicey food! ;)

I like curry and sausage's, but when i was in Berlin last year, i couldn't eat this after seeing what it looked like, put me off. (that can easily read in a different context! lol)

You're not the only one

Given the way he's dressed are we sure he's a journo and not just some random the bbc picked off the street? :p

Still, I know what I want for dinner (but with curry sauce, not any of this tomato nonsense).

When I went to Germany with the school our teacher was nuts about these little vans called imbissstube they were basicly our burger vans but did sausage. there were hundreds of sausages to choose from. Was some experience I must say. Curry Wurst was my favourite by far

Currywürst is indeed the food of the gods, I used to love running off down the schnelly to get 2 currywürst for my Friday tea when I was a nipper. I do love the German Christmas market being in Brum this time of year :D I get to eat all the things I loved as a kid.
