mein drittes deutsches Auto

I was getting bored with a sensible car that had back seats and a metal roof so I traded in the TT and bought another German car, a Porsche Boxster 3.2S (987)

The weather is a bit crap so I haven't taken any pics myself yet so here's some from the dealers website.

Only done 100 miles in it so can't give an in depth review but I'm really enjoying it so far. Performance isn't too bad (280BHP, 0-60 in 5.4secs, 0-100mph in 11.9 seconds), handling and overall feel is excellent, it's a bit like a smoother version of the Elise.
My fave bit so far is the noise. The TT sounded good with its modified exhaust and airbox but the Porsche is in a different league. Wind it up above 3500rpm and it just howls, I need to find a tunnel....
The thing that has suprised me the most is the economy. The computer was reading 33mpg on the journey back whereas the TT was 18mpg on the way there (and I was driving the Boxster faster than I was the TT).

Hope it's a sunny Easter weekend!!

ganz geil!

that looks pretty sweet. is that the crap spec one you were asking about last week, or did you find a better one?

I actually really liked the TT, it was a really easy car to drive with good power and handling (I know people criticise the handling but I really, really like the way it handled)

I could've quite happily kept the TT (I've still got the Elise for fun) but I found a couple of quid down the back of the sofa and decided to treat myself to something new.

Good stuff, nice little car the Boxster and lots of stuff you can do with them to tweak them a bit. MUCH better than a TT in my eyes.

I'd LOVE to catch someone just about to stripe my car. Worthless scum never do those sort of things when someone is watching however, a cowards actions and the act of the lower gene pool population who should be pointed at just as they are pushed into the boiling oil.

I really like these :) - Mind if I ask how much? :)

Mine's a 55 plate with 27k on the clock. Paid £21k for it which included warranty and a major service (normally £600 as it includes spark plugs and brake fluid change). I bought it from RSJ Sports Cars in Slough who were brilliant, the quality of their cars is outstanding. Every single car is detailed (not valeted, a proper Swissol detail) and they look better than new, not a single swirl mark on any of them.

Its hardly crap spec really is it? The standard spec is good.

As you say it's hardly a poverty spec car anyway but mine isn't loaded with loads of extras to be honest. It's got the leather, climate control and 18s but I think that's pretty much all.

I would've liked the heated seats and xenons but I've just got back from a late night top down drive and can't honestly say that I missed them. Was probably just wanting them cos the TT had them when in reality they're not needed.

The only extra which I want is the wind deflector and it's only £200 so I'll get that ordered this week.
