Hey all,

MacRumors.com said:
Apple seems to have opened up the iCloud Beta on iCloud.com. Notably, the login page is nearly identical to a leak from the days before the original iCloud announcement. We were doubtful of the screen at the time, but it appears to have been legitimate.

There's some mixed reports about people being able to login. We have reports of both developers and non-developers having success and trouble logging in.

Just gave it a try - Was able to login no problem :)

Pretty impressed :) Working flawlessly :)

Does Mail work for you? And if so, did you already have a MobileMe account with that address?

I don't have a @me.com account so I haven't been able to use it. You can setup a @me.com account on the iPhone in the iOS 5 beta, but I'm not really interested in a @me.com account :p

It's telling me I am not using OSX Lion... I am.

I'm on Snow Leopard still and it works fine, so it shouldn't matter =/

Just found that upon logging in, it returns you to the thing you were on last when you quit (I.e. I was in Pages, and when I logged back in just now it went straight to Pages :)). Nice little feature :)

Well I tried to sign in with my usual Apple ID and that told me the login details were incorrect.

So I tried using my @me address which I got from a MobileMe trial. That worked fine and I can use the Address Book and Calendar but Mail fails to load :(

Hmm that's strange - I used to have a MobileMe trial also - But I used the email and password I use on the Apple store and it worked fine.

Turns out it doesn't like my Apple ID being just my username. I tried a separate Apple ID that is an email address instead and that worked fine and checking mail told me to create a @me account in iOS or OS X.

Not sure where I could do that in OS X, I guess that's going to be an update in the future when it launches?

Despite these problems the interface is very slick and works extremely well.

I believe there is a beta of Lion currently out that has an "iCloud" app where you can manage storage etc. I imagine that is where it is referring to :p

That makes sense. Hopefully they'll be able to merge accounts in the future as well. I don't really want two or even three separate usernames to sign in with.

I've recently had my UDID updated for my iPhone so that I can use the iOS 5.0 Beta - This may be the reason why I can use iCloud.com I guess

I'm liking it. I've avoided touching my MobileMe account with iCloud and have been using my iTunes account to sign up with iCloud (with a new @me.com email address, signed up to via iOS5) - works great.

The iWork for iOS beta that syncs with iCloud is absolutely fantastic, pushes it to all your devices with it installed and can download and upload documents via the web interface.

love the splash page. Will @me addresses be free when iCloud rolls out?

That's how I see it. I already have a @me.com address from using MobileMe but my Apple ID that I use is a GMail account. I bet I'm not the only one in this position, I just hope that when iCloud goes live you are given the option to merge with your @me account.
