Ico/Shadow of the Colossus (PS3) dated in Japan

It seems harder than what I remember and they never sorted out the Camera did they.lol

I've just done the third monster and christ it was hard. Got a right feeling of accomplishment when I beat it.

Same here. I'm sure the 3rd gave me more stress then I remember, but the worst thing is I can't even get on the 4th despite playing it on PS2. I'm sure I didn't struggle this much before - I'm blaming it on getting older.

Increase your grip meter by killing and picking up the lizards at the save points. It helps a lot

It was actually how to get on to it in the first place. Sorted it now.

Already been and grabbed a few lizards and apples (if that's what they are). I never even knew about them when I played it on the PS2. Actually I only found out about them by accident the other day when someone mentioned them.

Never knew about lizards and apples either. How many lizards are there? One per save temple? What do the apples do and where do you get those?

I popped in to the big HMV on Oxford Circus today, couldn't see this - as it was all FIFA, and preowned stuff so left again. Was looking too as had both on the PS2 and they rank amongst best games ever.

Just a quick heads up for people playing SoTC for the first time: Head into the options menu and switch Horzontal Camera to 'inverted'. They're backwards by default and will likely feel very weird indeed coming from current-generation 3rd person games

Edit: Don't invert the aim camera

As far as I can see, there's one (it's the one with the glowing tail). However, if you aim at the tail, you can pin it causing the lizard to pull it off as it escapes. Someone else said they grow back given time, but I've not seen it. I don't know if that count's towards the trophy either as it says you have to kill them.

I've also found one glowing-tailed lizard that wasn't anywhere near a save point.

The apples grow on some trees. Just shoot them down with an arrow. The first one is directly on your path when your ride towards the cliff that leads to the first colossus.

I think it just needed some time to get used to the game again. All going swimmingly now. Just killed the eighth one and none up to now have driven me totally spare (except the first one).

Iirc it was just a matter of getting into the correct way of thinking about how to approach each enemy. Rather than to face it like a fight it was easier to view it as a puzzle and take your time.

Family are getting me this for christmas, gutting as i'd really like to get stuck in right now.

Makes you wonder how I did this the first time around - my stamina and health meters are double now thanks to all the fruit and salamanders.

That's what I was saying though - I didn't know about the fruits and salamanders until mentioned here and I've finished the game twice on PS2. Just made it harder for myself probably. :D

I never realised there were so many temples to find. Up to 21 now and I've still not got the trophy so there must be more. I never went to half these places on the PS2.

Might start this game later today. I have played SOTC before on PS2 (killed about 7 bosses). Never played ICO before, does it matter if I don't play them in order?

Also I don't recall any fruits and Salamanders when I played on PS2. As I recall it was visit temples, ride horse, hold up sword to find the way and beat bosses!

I bought GOW collection 2 last week as well. Anyone know of a list of all Classics HD collection games that are out or definitely coming out in the near future?

Where was that from? That's ridiculous
That is the official RRP so I am sure that some highstreet places are selling it for that price. I got mine on the highstreet for £30, just because I wanted it to play this weekend and online it is only a 2-3 quid less, I think.
