Its just a storage enclosure - There's no reason why it wouldn't.
If it had some kind of RAID\NAS functionality this would be a different story as it would require firmware to interact with it. I have a Icybox 4220 NAS for example that hold 2 drives, with stock firmware it won't take a total capacity over 2TB.
However this is purely down to Raidsonics scabby use of Linux kernel and NOT a problem with the components.
It detects it fine, my point is that in an enclosures case, the support of your 1.5TB drive is down to your OS and NOT the Icybox. I'm sorry I sound like this is all theoretical but I've had a lot of problems with my Icybox 4220 and I'm just regurgitating what I've been told by an expert who is building me a custom firmware to accept +2TB storage in my 4220
