icybox question

Ive got a icybox, the ones that has a blue light around the encloser. Is the blue light only ment to be on when the hdd is busy? Cos on mine the light stays on when the hdd is idel and the light dims when hdd is busy.. is that right or wrong??

IIRC, the blue light merely indicates the 'box is ON.

I am awaiting new hard drives so I cannot be sure.

on mine the blue light is on when the box is switched on,and flashes when the box/hdd is being accessed

Likewise - just installed new hard drive.

That is correct, they flash when the drive is being accessed
