Icybox questions

Hi guys,

Want to get an external enclosure which is well built, looks good and will connect using either USB2.0 on my older machines, or eSATA on my main machine.

Will this do the job? Is it the best? What else would you recommend?

Got one for my brother. Seems good enough however there is one draw back. Each time you wish to switch connection type you need to open up the icybox and move the location of the internal sata cable that connects to the icybox board (there are 2 sata connectors on the board, 1 is for USB and the other is for SATA).

Touch more expensive but allows swapping between the interfaces without opening the unit. You can also get (if you can find them) spare trays to allow you to swap drives easily.

Unfortunately it's out of stock at the moment though.

I have an MB-559 and can second rpstewart's suggestion. It is well built, looks nice and is easy to use. It comes with one set of trays and all the cables needed (USB2,eSATA,power). The trays also fits in the Icy Dock MB-453,-454 and -455, which can be handy but may or may not be a factor (it wasn't for me).

The IB-361-STUS doesn't seem to have the same connector problem as the IB-360 but OcUK don't sell it....

If I remember correctly I "think" This also allows you to change between interfaces without having to open it up, by using a switch...
