IDE HDD

So on my gf's PC she has the HDD and CD drive connected on the same IDE cable, but theres a third connector between the two. Is it possible for me to simply connect an extra HDD to this, or will I need to get another cable?

The mobo is an MSI 7061. :O

Also, would this HDD would be compatable?

No idea what the third connector is without a better description.

The mainboard uses the via 8237 chip, which has the standard 2 controllers 4 channels setup. No more than 2 drives should be connected to each IDE port on the board, so get a new cable and put the HDDs on the Primary channel (Blue), closest to the front of the case, and the to CD-ROM drive on the other.
