IDE or AHCI

When installing my itel G2 SSD hard drive what do I set my sata to in the bios? IDE or AHCI?

I was told to set mine IDE. But others with greater knowledge may want to verify.

IDE has greater compatability aparently so is the easiest route. As for what offers the best speeds and such I doubt theres too much difference
