I just installed some new RAM in my computer (1GB to 2GB) and on first boot there was a smell of burning so I switched it off straight away. I have tried a couple of power supplies now to see if that is the problem but now when I turn the PC on the fans work ok, the CD drives light up and the standby light shows but apart from that there is nothing. The CD drives don't open and the HDD doesn't respond but there is obviously power going through the motherboard.
The motherboard is a ASUS and the power supply a Trust 570W and I also recently upgraded to a BLISS 7800GS+ AGP graphics card.
Anybody have this before or any ideas on how to fix it?
