IDE SATA converter

I've just built a new computer but my new motherboard is not compatible with my old IDE hard drive which has my windows back up on. I need this drive as it has important files on. Is there any way I can connect this to the motherboard (Asus P8P67) via a converter?

ide to sata or usb to ide

or ide hard drive enclosure to usb etc

usb to ide would be more ideal. I never knew such things existed until I googled it. Thank you.

Sorry to hijack, but im after something similair, but for an optical drive. I built a rig based on an asus p6 x58de board, no ide port on the board and the only optical drive i have spare is an ide model.
