Idea for a board game??

How about a game where you have to make money buying property and charging people rent when they land on your property. Maybe have some wildcards that give or take money and even place you in Jail for x amount of turns.

Just something I thought of in my lunch break :p
 
There should be an OcUK game where you have to go around the board trying to get the best thread. Hazards include, inappropriate thread titles (go back to start), hotlinking (go back spaces), reposts (go back to start) etc. etc. :)

It could have a bit in the middle that you build like in Mousetrap but that sets off a ban hammer! :p

I came up with an idea for a game once. It was, get this...

...It was a "Jump to Conclusions" mat. You see, it would be this mat that you would put on the floor... and would have different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO.

Reckon its got any selling power?

If that could be pulled off it'd be absolutely fantastic!

May I also suggest points for/against relating to grammar usage :D
 
Do you get to assign a don at the start of the game that can just decide that someone has broken the rules and carry out any punishment they like without explaining themselves?

Ok, how about this...

You start with a counter - one of the avatars in glorious diecast metal.

You go around the board with the aim of collecting 5 stars (more diecast stuff) at which point you are the winner with a 5 star thread.

There are the typical squares that move you forwards and backwards and squares that relate to cards - some let you add a bit to the ban hammer thing, some move you about the board and a few give you stars.

Sound plausible?
 
Back in school we created "IbizaOpoly". The idea was that of monopoly, but with Clubs instead of streets. When you owned a group of clubs you could buy Feature nites, when you had 4, you could get a resident DJ. The rent was therefore the entrance fee and all the cards were in similar veins, just club related. Was quite a nice idea....
 
Im gunna roll with the OCuk Board game idea. You go round the board landing on and deleting usless threads. Then the person whos deletes the most wins ?

You should sell that idea to monopoly. It's definately better then some of the ideas they have :p
 
OcUK the Game:
Aim of the game: get the biggest post count.

Once you have a 5 star thread you can convert it into posts or maybe the other way around.

Hazard cards:
Your sig is too big! lose a turn while you resize it.
Swearie in link! your post is deleted. Lose 10 posts.
Repost! miss a turn while you find something original to post.
Unfunny Joke! get your coat and miss a turn.
Bracket Attack! miss a turn while you attempt to decipher what he means.
No Hotlinking! your post is deleted. Lose 10 posts.
Competitor! your post is deleted. Lose 20 posts.
Your still on 56K? miss a turn while you wait for the thread to load.
Another Relationship thread! miss a turn while you work out who is who and what they did.
Family Forum! that's not appropriate! Lose 20 posts.
EEEEK! No warning! miss a turn while you hide behind your chair after seeing a picture of a spider, ugly woman, mondeo, whatever scares you!
