Ideal air cooling setup? How many fans, where in case etc.

My setup:

I have the following installed:

  • Stock 200mm front case fan (on the lower half)
  • Stock 140mm rear case fan
  • Stock 120mm CPU cooler fan

My questions:

  1. Should I keep the 1x 200mm front fan, or replace it with 2x 140mm (or 3x 120mm)?
  2. Is the single fan on the CPU cooler enough? Is it on the correct side? Should it be sucking or blowing? (I'm not sure what it's currently doing)
  3. Should I mount a second fan on the other side of the cooler? Should this be blowing or sucking?
  4. Is having 2x 140mm (or 3x 120mm) at the front and one smaller one at the back optimal? According to the case support image below, I can fit lots more in (3 up top, 2x on the bottom)

Here is what my case supports:

The cpu cooler i would put the fan at the front pushing air threw, if you add another fan to it you may get a few degrees lower temps. Also turn your psu so it sucks cool air in from the bottom and exhaust it out the back.

Another fan at the front would add more air flow giving postive pressure and better cooling so i would put 2 x 140mm fans at the front.

ok, I've turned the PSU around.

I have also detached the CPU cooler fan and put it on the other side of the cooler.

However, when I put my hand near the fan, I think can feel the air coming from it (I can't turn it up to be sure as SpeedFan currently doesn't fully support my motherboard).

Shouldn't it be sucking air in front the front, passing it through the cooler and passing it out of the back?

If so, how can I make it suck? (I can't simply flip it due to the clips on the top and bottom of the fan)

That cooler fan only fits one way so at the front it will be pushing air through the cooler if it was on the back it would be sucking air.

I dont think you can havea 200 mm and 140mm both fitted together, i think you may be able to put a 120mm at the top as well as having the 200mm fan at the bottom.

Look at the the link to your case and scroll down to the bottom you will see the fan setup.

Damn, so you think I'll have to replace the 200mm with 2x 140mm?

Do you think it's worth it?

If it is worth it, do you think I should mount the 200mm fan elsewhere in the system, or just keep it in a cupboard? :P

King Mustard, I'm interested in this case but have some very nerdy questions. Could U email me (username @ gmail) if you are willing to answer some for me pls?
