Ideal CPU Temps?

Hmm.. just wondering with those temps if it is worth it, your cpu won't burn out due to overtemp as they have built in protection. You'd see better temps and less noise though, if thats worth it (moreso quieter operation) i'd go for it.

Yeah, I managed to get the temp down to 64-66, seems afterburner wasn't auto adjusting it so had fan speed at 44% for full load, but will probably still invest in one of those coolers, just to be on the safe side. Better to spend £15 now, than £200 if my CPU got burned out. Thanks for all the help man, very very appreciated!
afterburner can control cpu fan????

Seeing as you have no overclock, buying a after market cooler really isn't needed. Waste of money in my opinion. Why not try and clean the stock heatsink and fan, and reseat it on the cpu with new TIM? That's what i would do anyway.

You can buy a vastly superior heatsink for the cost of TIM alone, assuming the OP has to go and buy some. Just about anything is better, even if it's 2nd hand.
