Hi guys,

I have a lot of products/skills at my disposal and so i want to make a case mod thats remembered.

Trouble is, I dont have much idea what i want, so im putting it to you lot.

I like nice shiny metal things ;).

Also, I dont mind building the case from scratch. I am going to think of a few ideas over the next few days and post them in here, but guys feel free to discuss any ideas you might have for an awesome case but dont have the time/resources to make.

Are you going to be putting a system into it when you are done Tom?

If you are then you should watercool it.

You want to make the case youself, but you want the case to fit the compnents not the compnents to fit the case. So if you watercool you want separte compartments for you rads, reservoir and the PSU will need to go in a place of its own. So wil the hardrives with there own 120mm next to them, so air can flow over them

Make sure its brightly lit, its gotta have a window, adonised and some kind of paint job done on it. All the drives have to be stealthed. A great big red start button to turn the system on, give it a door.

Ill be back with osome more ideas when my brain has cooled down. :)

This is true, but Ive been planning a completely custom case for a while now, and if you take this approach the cases tend to become a silly size, like a Mountain Mods or the Lian-Li cube; whereas if you "fit the components into the case" then it makes for a more compact, tidy build.

I'd go for a standard width, maybe only slightly wider to make room for some clever lighting on the front bezel, and really anything over 700mm high is a bit big. with the radbox bolted to my TJ-03 its over 700mm high, and tbh its enormous, its sits flush with the top of my desk, and its sitting on the floor! :eek:

nothing to enter with really. offered to help someone (wouldnt mind helping you) with case finishing if i got a mention but thats as far as it goes.

This idea will be a totally custom solution from the ground up

Doesn't have to be a cooler master case, as long as you can satisfy the 5 CM items criterior

Wonder is anyone has ever made a paper-mache case?

One of those finger print scanners on the front of the case which only allows the coputer to turn on if it recognises the user.
