Ideas for a cool case mod in here :)

Tom i stil lgot that Coffin case sat here in the cubbord! I laso have a mobo backplate for the io's and pci stuff!!! I think your skills and knowleg wopuld make good use of it!

Was costly to build but i no longer want or need it!

it can be any shape or size.

doesnt have to be a "case" as it were.

I was liking the idea of a metal sculpture with a pc inside.... a bit like a skyscraper but stretched backwards, so head on it looks like a pole but it goes far back

A bit like that...but not lol

Edit: Pete whats your coffin made out of?

I know its way off, but just thought would it be possible to put a nano-itx system inside a plastic video cassette box?

Inside a water cooler? but without the water.

Pyramid made from aluminium, but with 3 sides rather than the done before 4 sided types.

An aluminium box that would fit on top off or inside the chimney of an extractor fan for a kitchen PC.

An aluminium case without any obvious ways in - hidden latch pussh door on both front and back. Touch sensitive power buttons. Slot loader drive. Have a base with all the power etc in it onto which the box "docks" to become active.

still thimnking......

A mega pc case, with space for 4-8 ATX mobos, with watercooling for all systems, enough space for 20-30 hdds etc etc.

now thats just silly

but thats what makes it great :D

personally, id go for something stately (Lian-Li, ATCS case), and mod it tastefully... but thats been done :o

RE: The big multi PC case idea.

Its not that silly - would make an excellent render farm. I think mashie did something similar for some friends with old slow conponents for use as a large ethernet switch (or something like that)

Hes what you want Tom.

A removable motherboard tray.

But heres the best part you press a button and the back of the case swings open. Then you press another button on you touch screen and the motherboard lids out on some kind of linear actuator, how ACE would that be.

Thanks for the link. I think ive seen it before. The mega pc thing is actually what im considering for my next mod, after the Android project is over. I want to see how closely I can integrate 2 pcs.
