Ideas for a new car... 2k ish

The TSpark isnt any noisier than similar cars, neither is road/wind noise. The V6 is quieter though

I especially liked the way you omitted the sentence directly after what you quoted - that was cunning indeed.

If a 2.5 V6 saloon with a comfy leather interior and a good ride is a bad cruiser and a large car that Ford practically built for the job which does 50mpg with little or no engine noise at speed is a bad cruiser....then what is?

At this point, it would be evident to the dimmest of trolls that my old Alfa was a V6. I've also experienced the 2.0 TSpark so my input on those was relevant too, unlike the crap you've been posting because you bought a lemon

What's tractorish about a 156 v6?

There it is again.

I'm sure the OP would appreciate you getting out the thread. I appreciate I haven't done much to help keep you quiet, I should ignore trolls like you but at least I've made some useful input.

Looking back at your previous posts, I think I see what's happened here. You've come along here and seen certain very popular forum members who post in a very opinionated style, borderline arrogant. You wanted to become popular too so you've tried to duplicate that posting style - however you've failed on a few counts. Firstly, your postings aren't borderline arrogance, they are just arrogant. Secondly, the other people around here who post in such an opinionated manner are clearly very informed and have gained enough respect to get away with it. A lot of what you've posted has been complete nonsense, so I dont think you can get away with it quite yet ;)

You moved from a Escort to a Fiesta to an Alfa Romeo V6, and then a diesel Mondeo.

LOL. Spot the imaginary one :p

It's cool, I've had some good input, you can fight if you like :p

Saab 9-5

Any thoughts? It's miles away from me but the first one that caught my eye!

Looks like better value than the 9-3s...

EDIT: Seems like it's a one off, the others seem to be much higher mileage!

probably a better car than a 9-3. bigger, so better on the motorway
again, ask about on here for mechanical issues.
Dup bought a 9-5 recently, and oil changes are a main issue like with the 9-3..

do it :p

We may have a winner!

Going to see if I can pop up there tomorrow afternoon to have a look. They've got a 406 coupe there too so we'll see how it goes.

Doesn't seem too bad a price for a dealer... Appears to be the 185bhp version too!

yeh, but it doesn't have leather or heated seats.
it also has some cheap tyres

it's not an aero either, but 185 should suffice :p
i dunno, if you're happy, go for it. i'd hold out for a top spec one, or a 9-5

How does the Aero compare? I can't tell whether it's a sportier setup or just the top spec. 185bhp's enough for me, quicker to 60 than mine! Although wouldn't argue with more...

I'm in no huge rush, so I don't have to buy the first one I see. Would give me a chance to sit in one and give a feel for it at any rate.

I think I will wait for one with leather and cruise control - that's the one thing I've always fancied after being sensitive with my throttle all this time... Although if a nice enough example comes up, could do without the leather. Saying that, heated seats... mmmmm

Just "bought" this!

Picking it up tomorrow. Exterior's in very good nick, interior's pretty decent too although needs a bit of a clean. Air con makes a creaking sound but I can ignore it since it wont be on most of the time. Drives very nicely though! Advert says it's the 150bhp version and I'm not too sure, drives kinda like the 185 I drove yesterday and the insurance doesn't seem to be any different... Is there any way to check using the Reg number?

Low Pressure Turbo engine gives excellent performance whilst retaining good economy
does it ****. it offers less power with the same economy
that car is the 150bhp, you can tell as it doesn't have a turbo boost needle on the dashboard above engine temp and the fuel guage.

seems expensive compared to the other (more powerful) ones, but it depends on the condition..
at least it's full spec (bar leather) and it seems in good condition :)
150bhp is enough anyway, at least it's not the NA 130bhp

Thanks for the info! It seemed quick enough since it isn't going to be anything like a go kart however you look at it... Saying that, it'll be fun to find the limit :D I guess the main difference is just the turbo? Might be able to tweak it later if I get bored. Haven't read into the tuning at all.

Got it for £2300, the front tyres need replacing soon but it's just had a service and in otherwise good condition! :) I think I got a decent deal compared to others in my area. Not bothered about leather - to be honest cloth would be more comfortable for me.
