Ideas for solo holiday 2022?

Of all the places in the UK this has to be one of the worst choices.

Why is that, the OP said they wanted somewhere to "clear my head" & "away from everything hectic"? Self catering & with great sea views in a warm part of the UK is surely that and without any of the hassles of using an airport.

My parents retired for 20 years to Mojacar in Spain.. Great hidden place, I'd never heard of it, but when we started visiting the parents it had a bit of everything, loads of pubs/restaurants, some superb, some more run of the mill, and the town (Pueblo) up on the mountain side is beautiful, so mentioned it to a few people in work and a couple had also been there and loved it..

Lovely long beach walks, bars/restaurants on the sea front and plenty of all inclusive options, villa's, town houses, you name it and you are catered for..

If you want more scenery, then my fav is the Amalfi coast.. such good holidays, lovely places, if you have some cash, some amazingly nice places to stop and eat, but also some more down to earth.. amazing views, but need a car really to travel around.
