Hi all have this car below

DSC01380.jpg

Got a few ideas in mind on what to do it..fancy it as abit of a sleeper :D

1.Getting a C20LET engine which is a engine from a vauxhall calibra turbo. but most engines have been ragged and would need rebuilding etc and I would need to get wiring looms engine mounts etc etc. woudnt no how much it would all come to tbh wouldnt want to rebuild with standard parts is use forge pistons, uprated cams, 4-1 or a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold etc.

2.Take it to regal ( vauxhall tuning company daaarrn sarth ) and just get it turboed and mapped by them not cheap but a good company and knowing thats its going to be be done right?

Info of the turbo installation below
Full DBilas Turbo Conversion Kit consisiting of: Metal grille scoop, Flowmaster air intake system, Flowmaster inlet manifold, Dbilas Turbo Manifold, Turbo unit, Dump valve, downpipe (including 100cell sports cat so that emissions will pass a UK MOT test) and software along with all taylor made pipes and hoses. Price: £3,950.00

What would you rather do?

Put an XE and nitrous in it on the cheap, using second hand bits, if you want something project wise - and nothing says you have to buy a shot C20LET, not hard to find a good one.

Spending 2, 3, 4 even 5k on it, however, is ridiculous. You could buy any number of performance cars (or even just 'proper' cars!), for that kind of money, or something that's already had the work done properly - so the previous owner has absorbed the horrible losses usually undertaken when doing this kind of thing.

If you did go the expensive route (either of them), yourself, consider it as certifiably throwing away the money you put into it - can you afford to throw away 5k?

Can you add NSFW into the title. You've just shown a picture of a chavved up Corsa and it's highly revolting.

As Lashout says, don't spend a penny on a bloody horrid Corsa and get a proper car with a proper engine.

What engine has it got at the moment?

How does the passenger get in?

Got a selanoid switch on the pasanger side and my side is key fob to open it

Look good without handles :D

and at the moment it has x16xe init 1.6 with throttle bodies air filter and 4-2-1 exhaust manifold running about 140ish bhp

I'd

  • Get road tax
  • Remove wing mirrors and replace for standard
  • Higher it a tad
  • Remove sunstrip

1. have road tax

2. no because i like them

3 back end is gettin higher due to tyers rubbing on archers

4. sunstrip removed just after i bought car a year ago

I'd sell it and buy something fast and good looking. Sorry if this sounds harsh but that thing is not a sleeper at all, it looks like a chavs wet dream.

Can't say no after you asked ME what I'd do. :p

I also agree with the comments above, if you can do it on the cheap then do it! It'll be fun and rather quick.

I wouldn't plough thousands into it, you can get much better value for money and a much more suitable car for the track for a few thousand pounds.

Drive it there or trailer

It'd (obviously) still need insurance in the first instance then, or you'd need a suitable towing vehicle, trailer and license to tow it to the venue.

I'm suprised you can't get decent quotes on something different - I'd have a serious plough around the classifieds and the like and run a few quotes for whatever usage you intend....don't forget to look at oddball stuff too, beside the usual 'tuner' models...
