Ideas needed for team building event for work

Hi all,

Looking for ideas for a team building/fun event for work. Needs to be in the south east, preferably as close to maidenhead as possible. budget is £150-£200 per head, with about 25 people involved

Only idea so far is team go-karting.

Any ideas people?

if you need to do team building, make sure you find something where you'll be working in teams.

Paintballing! Though it does depend on who is going to be going on the event (ages etc).

Play a real game.... airsoft

I'm sure there are centre's down there who do gun hire. It'll cost a lot less than 150 squid too. a lot less.

Karting is a bad idea as it doesn't really promote working closely as a team. Paintball is a much better idea as you will usually be split into two teams and will need to co-ordinate and communicate with each other effectively in order to perform well.
I remember when I started training for my current job we were sent away for a week with a company called 'Top Team'. We spent the week working together to complete tasks designed to teach us how to be effective in a team. Look them up, if there are enough of you the budget might cover a day with them. The advantage of this is that instead of just going and having a bit of a laugh, you get the added benefit of having professionals guide you and teach you how to work better together.

Actually thinking about it there are loads of companies that do this sort of thing for you. I had looked into it a while back. Doing things like blind fold driving, bridge building, murder mysteries. The list was pretty endless, however, anything decent I found was usually located in the bottom half of England so wasn't any use to me.
