Hi all,

Next door have had scaffolding put up and it is right in front of our sky dish.

NO signal at all and the TV has no terrestrial channels either due to ariel issues.

So, we've Sky+ prerecordings and box sets we can download. We've got my film collection and the kids can download cartoons via the sky box.

But, any suggestions on watching live tv?

I've a raspi running Kodi if that helps?

That's odd. I've seen quite a few refurbs round here and the builders have mounted the dish on their scaffolding to compensate. I'd just have a word nicely and I'm sure they'll sort it out.

You should have access to sky GO on a pc using your sky subscription where you can see all/most(?) of regular satellite channels live

yeah got Sky go setup earlier.

It wouldn't have been too bad as despite losing the signal we still had access to the ondemand broadband shows and box sets. Except I then had to restart the box by unplugging it and without a signal it won't reinitialise :(

They did ask when they started and it was fine, but they obviously put a load more up and boards and didn't check again.

Having been told that despite the scaffolding going up now the roofer is on holiday for a week and maybe 2-3 weeks after that. I knew it was going to be bad the last house down the road had scaffolding up for 2 months. :(

Going to look at moving the dish onto the scaffolding myself in the next few days. Looks like its movies and kid shows until then.
