Idiot rash

Some of the most painful injuries come from slipping when loosening or tightening something up and slipping. All good fun! :D

Without fail, I skin my knuckles whenever undoing wheel nuts. I slip with the wrench and bat the wheel/ground with my hand. It's so annoying.

Minor cuts and scrapes are so common they're not even worth mentioning and a trip inside for a plaster to stop me from bleeding all over the car is a traditional part of any decent sized job. I grated my knuckles good and proper on a radiator the other week which was pretty sore for days.

Suck it, and any oil/grime, until it stops bleeding.. and man up :p no need for plasters!*

umm. today is the first day in the lkast 5 days i can use my mouse with my right hand. i decided to rest my hand on the wing ot my e30 witht the bonnet up while i was thinking "i really cant be bothered to do this", The bonnet shut with the catch landing nicely on my hand at speed.

I know of a couple of people braking fingers removing diffs of e30's.

i want a fourty. it will be my next car.

I did this over the summer, changing out the caliper carriers on the Golf. Except my head was in the arch, and when I slipped I punched myself in the face.

The Mrs came out to see what all the commotion was about, I just sat there and asked for a cup of tea and felt silly.

Yup, it started to annoy me, so I stopped doing it. I'm not cut out for working on cars, I don't even like getting my hands dirty anymore:p

Yep all the the time, cuts bruises everywhere when i am doing something. Removing the engine had to be the worst, so many cuts and bruises actually i think there is a blood stain on my rocker cover still.

I changed the starter on my Baja at the weekend. Its a really awkward job and my arms are in a real state from having to reach so hard.

I almost knocked myself out on one of the cage supports as I was getting up from underneath it as well. Got a nice cut in my forehead from that one.

This subject Always makes me laugh, On the one hand you have all the Mums & Pancys running around with anti septic & bandages/plasters then on the other hand you have Real life.
I smash my hands & then the wounds get clogged with big lumps of greace & crap, After I've rolled about spannering for the whole day I'll go in & wash myself up & be good as gold.
The scars & digs on my hands either represent a car I have fixed or a face I have smashed. :p:p:p

i finally started to get good at avoiding the rash a couple years ago. last summer a broke a selector lever thing on my gearbox, but it was 2-3 days before i wanted to fit a lightened flywheel. i had the box off in just over an hour etc and completed the job without one scratch.

im definately getting better at this malarky
