Idiots + Fireworks!

Don't be ridiculous it's a small minority that let everyone down, the same with everything, they won't be banned

Agreed, besides there are plenty of things that are more dangerous then fireworks on sale to the general public. If you banned fireworks it would have the usual effect banning somthing does.

effect 1, People who enjoyed fireworks safely and responsibly would suffer.

effect 2, A few of the people from effect 1 would obtain fireworks illegaly. They would then be hung out to dry, since our police like making an example of an easy target.

effect 3, The idiots in this world would either obtain fireworks illegaly or find something else to blow up (I can't see them banning petrol) and carry on unchanged.

Instead will need better grass roots policing. Also if your child is found unsupervised using fireworks in a dangerous way your ability as a parent should be questioned.

Next door to me was setting them off the other night whilst i was trying to sleep. first one was one of them rocket things that do that scream type noise as they go up, nearly bounced out my bed as they where setting them off not far from my window

Just what's been happening around here lately, no respect for others, it's a shame as fireworks are fun, so long as they are used responsibly and safely.

They shouldn't be banned, I do enjoy a good display too, but maybe they could make it a national holiday UK day or England day, so the tradition of fireworks and family get-togethers stays, not to remember an attempted murder in the 17th century.

Which reminds me how backward it seemed when I went into ASDA and saw the queue for Fireworks was 30 long with people getting armfuls and there was no-one buying Poppys for rememberance day in the adjacent stand. I suppose they aren't as exciting as fireworks...

It would be nice if the sale time could be restricted even further around 5th november and the legal age was put up to stop more youths having vast quantities of them.

I'm only 21 myself but I'd be happy to see it raised to 23 or 25. Although you still get adults buying them for their kids and the dodgey corner shops that will sell them to anyone.

People are too boring these days.

Fireworks should be let off in a dangerous manner but ensuring that animals and people are safe. You can't beat a good laugh, especially where fire and explosives are involved. There is a little bit of pyro in us all - you just need to dig deep to locate it and have some fun ;) :D

I'm all for fireworks and fun, when at home and we have fireworks I'm usually one of the lucky two that gets to set them off, whilst ******. :D

It just annoys me that there are idiots that fire them at anything and everything, and have no sense or respect for others.

If charvers are going to get hold of dangerous explosive items, I'd quite like some dangerous explosive items too.

Perhaps in a .44 calibre, with a handy launching device...

I was up my local petrol station last night getting some bread. Some idiots parked up in there cars were setting off fireworks down the carpark and on rocket spun round and started firing towards the petrol station. I was immensely annoyed so i walked over and told them they were lucky i didnt shove a firework up there ....

IDIOTS !
