Idle process 10-90%

Just rewired my PC and while I was at it I moved my vista installation onto a 74GB raptor.

Now I did a format using the vista disk (x64) on both drives and it took about 5 mins on each

Now when I'm in vista I have system idle process of between 10 and 90% shooting up and down, mainly on ym second core. The others jump between 0 and 40%

Now I really don't know much about reformating hard drives at all. Are these idle processes possibly something from precious data on one of my drives? Any solutions recommended?

Thanks

EDIT: as soon as it posted this it stopped.. Weird, perhaps something to do with an installation I was douing 15 mins ago.. Will keep monitoring

it just said 'system idle process'. Doesn't seem to be happening now...

Not loading bios and into windows as quickly as it used to, or at least it doesn't feel like it is. Bit odd
